You can either mail or drop off a new, unwrapped toy, or you can donate money and let us do the shopping for you.

I don’t have time to shop. Can I donate money instead?

Absolutely! You can donate via PayPal or via mail. Just click the donate link above and you're all set! 

 

How many toys were donated last year?

We were able to deliver over 5,000 gifts to the children at the participating hospitals last year! Since our beginning in 2011, we've donated over 43,000 toys to our 6 St. Louis Children's Hospitals!

 

Where do the donations go?

Donations will be split between SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, Mercy Hospital, Hawthorn Hospital for Children, and Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, based on the individual hospitals’ needs.

 

What is the last date you’ll accept donations?

Cash Donations will be accepted through the end of the year! Toys are collected prior to the Christmas holiday so we can get them to the kiddo's as quickly as possible.  These toys get used all year long for birthdays, other holidays, or most importantly when a kid needs a pick-me-up!

 

If I donate money, how is it used?

We are strictly volunteers and Santa’s helpers. 100% of all monetary donations will be used to purchase toys for the children. Fire Truck O’Toys is a registered 501 (c)3 Nonprofit Corporation.

 

What types of gifts will be accepted?

We're looking for a variety of new, unwrapped toys that can be gender-specific or fit for both girls and boys. The gifts will be given to children of all ages. Ideas include dolls, puzzles, board games, art supplies, video games or books. Hit up your local department or toy store, use your imagination, and have fun! Not interested in shopping? No problem. Every $15 donation buys one toy, and we will gladly help Santa do some shopping.

 

What items will not be accepted?

We will be unable to accept any toys that have been previously opened and/or used.

 

How many toys can I donate?

We’re trying to bring smiles to as many kids as possible, so the more, the merrier! We appreciate every single donation made, no matter the size.

 

What happens if there are extra toys left after the kids receive their gifts?

Any extra toys will be kept at the hospitals to help sick children celebrate birthdays and other occasions throughout the year. Santa may only deliver once a year, but the joy you help him bring will continue to shine all year long.

 

How long has Fire Truck O'Toys been operating?

Fire Truck O'Toys is an annual holiday charity, and 2021 marks our 10th year!
